Welcome to my Daily Inspiration - Daily Quote. See today's daily inspirational quotes below. May the world be kind to you, and may your own thoughts be gentle upon yourself.
- Jonathan Lockwood Huie
"Be still and know that I am God" A famous scripture in the Bible, as well as the saying "Slow down, and smell the Roses", is letting us see the Truth in the Barrenness of a busy Life. We miss out on real Life (the Life God intended for us to live),and leave this earth full of all the gifts God meant for us to be emptied of, to share with Menkind.
when i feel lost or spiritually drained i have a tendency to find all kinds of "urgent" tasks to do. it is a way to distract myself and it works for a time but in the end the emptiness is still there.
I love being busy - but with tasks of choice e.g. enjoying my job and the children at school as well as going out to listen to music and socialise with my friends.
I can see the 'dangers' of being 'too' busy, in the sense of forgetting what we are really here for and just focussing on, for example, work or tasks we do not enjoy.
Then, surely, we can use our intuition and know we have 'overdone it' a little, or not prioritised the things that bring ourselves and those around us joy and fulfillment...?
I guess it's all a question of balance and perspective. Lots of love to you all...
I really appreciate this website and the daily quotation in my mailbox, as well as comments from others.
