The tree in this picture is holding on. It has been holding on since it was a sapling, and will probably hold on for many more years. Its whole being is about holding on. Holding-on does not have to be a desperate teeth-gritting kind of holding-on. Holding-on can be a joyful "this is just the nature of Life, so I may as well enjoy it" kind of holding-on.
So strong is that message for when you see where this tree is anchored one understands the solid ground of the afforded freedom. So one must take trust and found himsef/herself deeply and only then extend his courage to the winds...
