  1. Dear Jonathan,
I quit smoking on Canada Day! So, today, July 2 is Day 2 and the cracings are intense. This reading helped inspire me very much!

  2. A habit that has become for me an addiction is watching TV, even to late into the night although I have to get up at 5:00 every morning. I have undertaken a new regime to help me overcome my addiction to food, but TV and late nights are threatening to be my undoing. Can anyone relate?

  3. Of course, I can relate. TV is for me a brain suck, and as I recognize this, I have had a few nights of not watching it -- because it consumes my attention -- and I have become much more calm and productive! I simply made the choice not to turn on the TV, or if I did to turn it off after an hour. Something I read about this TV addiction is to not channel surf. Select a show, watch it, and turn it off. I hope this helps some. TV does encourage mindless munching for me too...but once it is off, that dissipates too. Good luchk!

  4. I've always loved that quote. So true. Except in the rare cases of Mozart and other people.
